I run to Christ when chased by fear and find a refuge sure.

I run to Christ when torn by grief

and find abundant peace.

I run to Christ when worn by life

and find my soul refreshed.

I run to Christ when stalked by sin and find a sure escape.

Spring 2014 at North Country

From my heart to yours....Spring 2014

Finally, winter's grip seems to have loosened and the thawing mudfest has begun. Before you know it, we will be chasing turkeys around the woods, tilling our gardens, and raking our yards.  Once again, we walk away from our winter schedule grateful for God's working in our hearts and lives. We are indebted to all of you that worked to make our afternoon meals and services possible each week.

Let me encourage you in the coming months to take advantage of our second services in the evenings. During those times we will be covering a host of Scripture passages from Ecclesiastes and other Old Testament texts, celebrating Communion together, as well as, having evenings of singspiration and encouragement through our hymnal.

There are a number of things coming up this Spring to be aware of and take part in. Easter is coming in just a few short weeks.  This year, we welcome the Walk Right Bible Institute Music Team to our church for this special day.  I think your heart will be encouraged as we celebrate the Victory of Christ over sin through lots of congregational singing and special music for that day. As a scheduling note, our morning service will be longer on this day and there will be no second service on Easter Sunday.

Secondly, our special meetings with Mike Manor are coming up in a couple of weeks. Make plans to join us and invite co-workers and friends out with you. Mike will be bringing his guitar and be doing fun songs each night to bring levity and fun to our services.

Third, our workday has been moved to Saturday, May 17th.  I think this is best for us as we have quite a few things that need to get done, primarily getting the new signage up, and  the north east classroom cleaned out for use.

Lastly, I deeply appreciate your willingness and enthusiasm to help out with Vacation Bible School.  In the coming weeks, I will be contacting all those that signed up and delegating different aspects of our VBS to you all. Together, we can offer to our community a well-run VBS and see God work, introducing children to Him.

May God work in the coming weeks and months, as we strive together for Him!
